Alkuviikosta saatiin vahvistus, että Disney aikoo tehdä Star Warsista one-shot-elokuvia, jotka eivät liity varsinaisesti luvassa olevaan kolmanteen trilogiaan. Ensimmäisen elokuvan tähdeksi enteiltiin Yodaa, mutta tämä saattoi olla ennenaikainen tieto.

TTVKPirate Bayn ylläpitäjät tukevat marraskuussa käynnistettyä The Promo Bay -sivustoa, jossa artistit ja videoiden tekijät voivat jakaa tuotoksiaan ilmaiseksi ja laillisesti. Jotkin tekijänoikeusjärjestöt ovat estäneet internetkäyttäjien pääsyn The Promo Bay -palveluun. Syyksi on kerrottu usein, että koska Pirate Bayn ylläpito on jotenkin mukana Promo Bayssä, täytyy sivuston olla laiton. Täysin laillisen Promo Bayn käyttö on ollut estettyä myös Suomessa, kiitos Tekijänoikeuden tiedotus- ja valvontakeskus ry:n (TTVK).
