Need for Speed Most Wanted saa kolme lisäriä
”Fairhaven City ei tule koskaan palaamaan ennalleen”, väittää EA. Need for Speed Most Wanted -peliin näet julkaistiin kolme DLC-lisäriä, jotka tuovat lentokenttälaajennuksen, klassikoita suosituista toimintaleffoista sekä vauhdikkaita ajoneuvoja Need for Speed-sarjan historiasta.
Seuraavat kolme DLC:tä on julkaistu tänään PS3:lle ja Xboxille. PC:lle ne saapuvat Originin kautta 13.3.:

Indie-pelitalon kuolema: kuinka erimielisyydet ja työnjako tuhosivat unelman
Indie-pelitaloissa elää unelma. Unelma Omasta, Upeasta ja Mullistavasta Pelistä. Uniikeista ideoista tai pelistä, joka on juuri sellainen kuin itse haluaa. Eikä haittaa, jos siitä muutkin tykkäisivät.

Jenkit uskovat kaikesta huolimatta pelien aiheuttavan väkivaltaa
Ei kannata antaa faktojen häiritä hyvää kohua. Tähän uskotaan ainakin Amerikassa, sillä vaikka tutkimus toisensa jälkeen ja jopa monet johtavat poliitikot ovat todenneet, että pelit eivät aiheuta väkivaltaa, yli puolet amerikkalaisista uskoo toisin.
Xbox Livessä alkoi peliale – yli 60 peliä jopa 85% alessa
Xbox 360:n Live -palvelussa alkoi jopa ultimaattiseksi kutsuttu peliale, jossa 60+ Games on Demand -palvelusta ladattavaa peliä on alennettu reilusti, osa jopa 75 ja 85 prosentin alennuksin.

EA:n Army of Two -räiskintäpelit ovat räiskeskenessäkin melkoisen outoja ilmestyksiä. Yksinpeli on niissä melkeinpä vain pakon vaatima jälkikäteislisuke. Ne kun on tehty nimenomaan kahden pelaajan samalla koneella tai vierekkäisillä konsoleilla ison mekastuksen kanssa väännettäviksi kaksinpeleiksi. Hätätilassa myös cooppi netin yli saatetaan sallia, mutta tällöin äijäkäs uhoaminen ei pääse nousemaan ihan tarpeelliseen suuruuteen.

Eräs Doctor Who -sarjan pitkäaikaisimmista proppivalmistajista ryhtyy myymään kopioita sarjan rekvisiitasta.
Kulissien takaa: inFamous viehätti keväällä 2009
Aina toisinaan olen pyrkinyt laittamaan saitille myös kulissien takaa -tyylisiä reportaaseja pressireissuilta. Noh, viime aikoina tämä on jäänyt vähemmälle huomiolle, kun se varsinaisten reissuartikkelien takominen ja muu työ vaatii veronsa. Mutta yritänpä vähän korjata tilannetta – ja samalla siivota Työ-hakemistostani syyttävästi tuijottavia reissufoto- ja aineistokansioita.
Aloitetaanpa urakka siis inFamous-pelin parissa. Sony toi Sucker Punch -studion väkeä Kööpenhaminaan toukokuussa 2009. Mitään kovin dramaattisia voitelukuvia ei ole tarjolla, sillä päiväreissulla piipahdettiin paikallisessa elokuvateatterissa ottamassa tuntumaa peliin ja juttelemassa vallan mainioiden pelintekijöiden kanssa. Meikäläisen pari ennakkojuttua saivat jatkokseen Miikan peukkuarvostelun.
